Langbehn, an Auburn mom, delivered 140,000 signatures to McClintock asking to end the federal government shutdown. Langbehn, who was diagnosed with sarcoma in 2012, received news she was ineligible for a drug trial with the National Institute of Health one week late due to the shutdown.

The Sacramento Bee and the Auburn Journal were among many California media outlets that published articles following the Tuesday press conference at the district office of Republican Congressman Tom McClintock (Granite Bay).

The Modesto BeeFresno BeeMerced Sun-Star and San Luis Obispo Tribune picked up their Sacramento sister paper’s story and reposted it on their websites.

Sierra foothills political blogger Jeff Pelline gave his analysis of the press conference and federal government shutdown in a recent post.

News Channel 6 (WJBF-TV) in Augusta, Ga./Aiken, S.C. picked up the part of the news conference from ABC News 10 in Sacramento. Michelle’s portion runs from 0:58 to 1:09.

KFBK news radio station posted an article and a 47 second video clip of Tuesday’s press conference.
